Sarah J. Maas is perfect for new fantasy readers easy to follow but full of depth and magic.

Brandon Sanderson’s worldbuilding is unmatched. It takes time to get used to, but once you do, it’s addicting.

I started with J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series it’s the best introduction to fantasy ever.
